TRAINING ON DEVELOPING PEFCRS/OEFSRS

The European Commission is organizing a free training on developing PEFCRs/OEFSRs, back to back with the LCM 2019 conference. This training will explain the process required, the modelling and data needs, and review requirements. Please note there is no possibility to offer travel support to participants, and the places are limited to 30 people.

For whom: stakeholders, who are going to participate in the development of PEFCRs/OEFSRs

Outcome: You understand the process of developing PEFCRs/OEFSRs and know how to specify general requirements from the PEF and OEF methods in PEFCRs/OEFSRs

ecoinvent user meeting

Just before the kick-off to the LCM2019 conference, the ecoinvent association hosts a meeting for database users. Participants will be introduced to the enhanced content of the upcoming database version 3.6, while the meeting will further offer the space to feedback to the users and to provide a platform for direct interaction.

Registration
is required. The meeting is free of charge.

Using SimaPro for PEF/OEF studies

Right after the EF training provided by the European Commission, we will organize a get-together to show how SimaPro can be used to do PEF/OEF studies. Snacks and drinks included.

Forum: Towards implementation of Product Social Metrics

The Product Social metrics RoundTable is a joined effort from over a dozen companies to develop a pragmatic, robust consensus methodology for Product Social Metrics, or Social LCA. In year 6 the companies have applied the updated methodology in cases and worked on an Implementation Guide. During the Forum some member companies will present a variety of case studies and share their experiences. We will also present guidance on how you as a company can start with the implementation. SOLARIS – Industrial trip

Solaris, being an industrial partner – organizer of LCM 2019 Conference, is a leading European manufacturer of innovative public transportation vehicles, such as buses, trolleybuses and urban rail vehicles. Since the start of production, over 16,000 buses have been built at this plant. Solaris buses are operated in 32 countries, such as Germany, Norway, Morocco and United Arab Emirates.

In 2006, Solaris presented Europe’s first hybrid diesel-electric bus based on volume-production technology. In 2011, Urbino electric – first Polish battery bus was officially presented. Since that time, Solaris became a European leader in e-mobility offering a wide range of battery buses with different types of batteries and charging options.

Present and future activities of Solaris are focused on development of the emerging urban transport technologies, such as: hybrid drives, contributions to e-mobility – Solaris Urbino electric buses, and Solaris vehicles with alternative drives – Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen, a new generation vehicle fueled with hydrogen energy.

Lasting 1.5 hour trip in Solaris premises will offer an excellent opportunity to take a close look at how innovative solutions for drives and vehicles for public transport are created.
